Index Noir in context
Index Noir was built for a cultural archive that needed atmosphere, but also a precise system for editions, credits, and image-led stories.
The project is structured as a complete case study with category references, service tags, gallery imagery, measurable outcomes, and long-form sections built for the existing CMS template.
The challenge
The archive had strong source material but no consistent way to separate primary moments from supporting context.
The solution
We introduced a hierarchy of image scales, direct metadata blocks, and concise copy rules that make each entry feel curated without slowing publishing.
The results
The archive became easier to browse, easier to extend, and more distinctive as a visual system across campaigns and collection pages.
